Effective Ways to Use Artificial Intelligence to Improve Business Processes

Apac CIO Outlook | Friday, December 03, 2021

Automation is nothing new in call centre operations; simple inquiries have long been met with automated menu services. However, one technology company claims that it can assist businesses in automatically judging the quality of human customer service calls.

Fremont, CA: One may be looking for ways to make one's business more streamlined, efficient, cost-effective, and adaptable to changing market demands now more than ever. Artificial intelligence – specifically, AI-driven automation – is assisting businesses in accomplishing all of this and more.

Here are seven ways AI is transforming everyday business processes for the better.

    Improves Meetings

Okay, so AI cannot completely eliminate meetings. Indeed, the corona virus pandemic has demonstrated the importance of maintaining human connections, even from a distance – implying that meetings are here to stay. However, AI can assist in reducing the time-consuming admin that occurs prior to, during, and after meetings.

Appointments, for instance, can be scheduled by voice assistants such as Google Duplex. Then there's Voicea's EVA assistant, which can listen in on meetings, capture key highlights and actions, as well as then create and share actionable notes. Sonia, another tool, does something similar but is designed to capture client calls, transcribing the entire conversation and automatically summarising key actions and items.

    Evaluates and Improves Customer Service

Automation is nothing new in call centre operations; simple inquiries have long been met with automated menu services. However, one technology company claims that it can assist businesses in automatically judging the quality of human customer service calls. Transcosmos' AI solution automatically evaluates service quality "at the speed of human accuracy" – and can identify inappropriate and problematic customer service with over twice the accuracy of a voice recognition system.

    Improves Product Development Processes

Generative design is a cutting-edge field that employs artificial intelligence to help with the creative process. With generative design software, one simply enters one's design goals and other requirements and let the software explore all possible designs that could meet those requirements – allowing one to quickly generate multiple designs from a single idea. The software handles all of the heavy lifting of determining what works and what doesn't, saving countless hours of time. Furthermore, you avoid the expense of developing prototypes that do not deliver.
