FREMONT, CA: Endance, a provider of network monitoring technology, announces the availability of Provenance for DAG (Data Acquisition and Generation) Data Capture cards. It provides real time information about the recorded network traffic with accuracy.
DAG Data Capture Cards
DAG Data Capture Cards are utilized for routing small units of data through a network based on the destination address of the packet (data). It is further employed for security and network monitoring in banks, telecommunications provider, governments, defence agencies, and e-commerce giants.
Provenance enables tradersto record data at the source and continuously monitors the recorded data at the time of capturing. The “watermarks” in Provenance provides detailed information of the timing source used and clocks synchronisation accuracy at the time of capturing. This feature enables the traders to prove the time of accuracy of clocks and time stamps.
“Provenance is broader than just timing, it allows a wide range of enriched, and ‘smart data’ to be embedded into network traffic as it’s recorded. We see applications across a range of areas including network security,” Dr Donnelly said. “But we saw an immediate application for Provenance to deliver a simple, effective way to enable traders to meet their obligations under MiFID-II and related regulations. So we accelerated plans to introduce Provenance to give traders time to test and implement it ahead of MiFID-II”.
