Technology continually disrupts every area of people’s lives, resulting in constant shifts across all segments of society. The education sector is no exception. Technology is leading a revolution in the way students learn today. It is helping to solve the problems of scale, quality of education, and learning ability of the student. Teachers can now reach every student through digital screens, enabling each of them to get the same content. Student engagement is higher as it combines various instructional styles. In addition, each student gets exposed to a world-class education, which is not available in a chalk and talk method.

Digitization of education helps in modifying the learning methods by utilizing digital tools, such as smart-boards, LCD screens, and videos. The shortage of teachers can also be addressed by delivering the information remotely across several locations to the learners through interactive digital media.

A report from the World Economic Forum states that by 2020, there will be 1.5 million new digitized jobs in the world. Currently, organizations are facing the shortage of IT skills where every educator and student feels the need to enhance their skills needed for the IT workforce. To prepare the talent needed for this digital economy, education must adapt as fast as the demand for IT skills grows and evolves.

Based on the requirements of the learners, customized courses can be designed to impact education. A learning management system (LMS) allows the learner to create, distribute, and track training anywhere, on any device.  These systems were primarily used to deliver courses in schools and popularize e-learning. Language is not a barrier to digitized education. The learner can choose their language in which they prefer to learn. Also, the offline learning model enables students to study even when there is no internet connectivity. The content of information offline is synced when there is network connection available. Open source information allows the learners to access any content without any credentials, and this is a major advantage.

The future of education looks even brighter as the current technological systems are highly contributing to enhancing the way lessons are taught.
