Enterprise data integration helps to create a single, unified view of organisations’ data assets regardless of the original source or format, allowing them to gain actionable insights, construct data-driven strategies, and optimise data for better decision-making.

FREMONT, CA:Today’s enterprise IT landscape comprises ERP, legacy software, CRMs, on-premise systems, and applications integrated through APIs. As these systems deliver extensive flexibility, they are critical for creating data silos. Optimising data for decision-making is crucial for revenue generation. However, data silos prevent having a clear data view, hindering significant insights and creating knowledge gaps. Businesses using enterprise data integration help organisations strategically leverage data.

At contract renewal, a procurement office should analyse existing contracts and gain insights into incentives, indemnifications, clauses, liabilities, and policies. Each procurement office needs access to all the contracts negotiated by different branches. The goal is to analyse existing contract data, extract relevant information, and invent an optimal strategy for new contracts. Organisations should have access to financial data to track performance against negotiated terms in previous contracts.

Contract data from various suppliers are stored separately in different databases, and a company’s financial data is usually stored in Excel. Gathering information regarding all previous contracts requires businesses to integrate data from databases in each branch office. They should also extract and integrate financial data stored in Excel format.

Generally, organisations host extensive amounts of financial data containing missing values and duplicate data, impacting the data quality. Manually compiling or consolidating data from different sources and formats results in errors and affects data quality. As businesses require high-quality data to get accurate insights, it is essential to eliminate all errors before using the data for analysis.

On the other hand, leveraging data for decision-making requires processing records quickly and delivering timely and actionable results. Manually integrating, merging, and transforming large amounts of data is a challenge for IT teams, especially if they run into errors. Such lapses create unnecessary delays between the time a relevant event occurs. These delays in this rapidly revolutionising world cause missed opportunities, leading to adverse decision-making and revenue loss.

Integrating data from different branch procurement offices manually must overcome all the enterprise data integration challenges. These issues can be resolved by enterprise data integration software streamlining data integration from various sources and formats in a code-free environment, giving endless options to process information with greater clarity and insight.

Extracting, consolidating, and combining data from various sources is a significant challenge for data

integration in an enterprise. Data integration tools ease the burden of breaking data silos and connecting on-premise and multiple cloud resources across IT infrastructure. A data integration platform provides extensive data integration connectors and services, enabling users to easily access, cleanse, and transform data from databases, cloud applications, unstructured data, data warehouses, and legacy systems. It also offers seamless data integration with fewer IT interventions.
