When fully constructed, the eight-story building, which is projected to offer more than 1,600 cabinets and more than 5,300 square metres of collocation space, is expected to be operational by the second half of 2024. The new IBX data centre will offer Indonesian firms and foreign businesses operating in Indonesia the digital infrastructure and lively ecosystems for top performance. It is situated in Jakarta's Central Business District and close to key internet exchanges.
The building will be built with sustainability in mind, utilising cutting-edge tools like cool arrays to help Indonesian firms achieve their economic and environmental objectives. This is a component of Equinix's Future First strategy, emphasising the firm's dedication to promoting a greener digital economy.
The Indonesian government's measures for digital transformation are in line with Equinix's expansion to Jakarta, which will further the nation's efforts to build out its digital infrastructure in accordance with the objectives outlined in the Indonesia Digital Roadmap 2021–2024.
