APAC Tech Lab will provide a wide range of engineering capabilities focused on rapid prototyping and product development
FREMONT, CA: EY declares the official opening of the EY APAC Tech Lab, a brand-new, cutting-edge incubator and engineering lab in Shenzhen, China, to quickly innovate solutions to the distinct needs of the expanding Asia-Pacific market. The Lab will play a crucial part in bolstering the EY technology portfolio in the region as an adaptable, Asia-Pacific-focused unit by strategically serving as a centre for technological research, experimentation, and implementation.
The Lab is the newest facility to join the global EY network of innovation hubs created to foster cutting-edge technological incubation and research & development in significant global technology markets. To answer customers' varied demands in complicated environments, the EY APAC Tech Lab was established in harmony with EY innovation platforms and solutions.
The Lab, which is strategically situated in Shenzhen, China, will concentrate on rapid prototyping and product development while providing a broad variety of engineering capabilities to meet the specific requirements and potential of the Asia-Pacific market. Forrester predicts that the Asia-Pacific technology market would increase by 6.2 per cent this year, reaching USD 675 billion. The Lab aspires to maximise the inventive potential of EY businesses and clients by using the power of cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), blockchain, 5G, and Web 3.
With over 30 AI engineers, data scientists, UX/UI designers, blockchain cryptographers, and experts in 5G and the internet of things (IoT), the Lab is now fully operational and working on several cutting-edge projects with various EY teams throughout the world to solve real-world business problems. These programmes comprise:
Clustering, supervised machine learning, and deep automation techniques are used by an advanced data analytics platform that was jointly developed with a major Asia-Pacific telecom operator to produce rich and accurate customer insights from telecom data, giving customers a better and more individualised experience.
A prototype that uses science-based targeted data models and an AI-powered prediction sandbox to automate the data integration and estimation for Scope 3 carbon emissions reporting. Incorporating forecasting, target-setting, and sensitivity analysis tools into their carbon estimates will enable businesses to further their net-zero aspirations.
To execute compliantly, authenticated, and ethical medical data analyses in cooperation with significant pharmaceutical corporations, a Web3-based healthcare data analytics architecture supported by distributed identity (DID) specifications is proposed.
