To improve current patient care practices and implement new processes, the smart hospital depends on the connected infrastructure of intelligent medical devices to convert patient data into insights and function accordingly.

Fremont, CA: The health sector has immense advantages of digital and mobile technology. Through these emerging innovations, health organizations can enhance patients' health outcomes, be cost-efficient, and provide timely care. Their wellbeing and medical records can also be better monitored and regulated by patients. This shows that technology will lead to creating a safe and prosperous future for everyone. So, here are five emerging trends in healthcare technology:

    Smart hospitals

To improve current patient care practices and implement new processes, the smart hospital depends on the connected infrastructure of intelligent medical devices. The goal of a smart hospital is to convert patient data into insights and function accordingly.

    Therapeutic apps

Therapeutic applications, also called digiceuticals, help improving health and wellbeing. Regulatory bodies such as the Medicinal Products Administration have tested them for effectiveness (TGA). Therapeutic applications, along with standard treatment approaches, are recommended by medical practitioners and scientifically approved for their purposes. It may benefit people living with chronic pain, asthma, or hyperactivity with attention deficit (ADHD).

    Robotics

Robotics are AI-assisted robots that support and facilitate healthcare providers and patients. They are used in hospitals, labs, medical clinics, elderly care centers, and rehabilitation and treatment centers.

    Blockchain and data security

Wearable and sensors generated a vast amount of health data has posed new problems, such as interoperability, data integrity, protection, and confidentiality. By putting the patient in the middle, blockchain can help resolve these obstacles, allowing them to have greater control of their health records. In terms of EHRs, blockchain can use a single, encrypted protocol to prevent patient data from changing or getting stolen.

    Telehealth

With telehealth, you can search for doctors online with a smartphone and application and compare data, skills, qualifications, and patient feedback before selecting a doctor. You can consult them via chat or video call after you have identified the right physician. Telehealth offers virtual health care, which can be very useful for rural and remote patients who cannot visit a doctor or expert face-to-face.
