HONG KONG: Fujitsu launches the Fujitsu Server PRIMEQUEST 2000 line-up, a series of high-end servers that offer unprecedented x 86 performances and memory expandability. New FUJITSU Server PRIMEQUEST models provide the highest-ever levels of performance and stability from industry standard servers.
Fujitsu is incorporating high-performance Intel Xeon processors in a new line of PRIMEQUEST high-end servers. This E7-8800/4800 v4 product family processor helps servers in reaching unprecedented levels of performance. With the latest enhancements, customers can now be more confident in their choice of mission-critical computing technology based on truly open standards as a viable alternative to UNIX-based systems, in terms of system performance, reliability and security.
Fujitsu’s top-of-the-range x86-based servers are designed to provide a new path for customers currently running highly demanding environments on UNIX based systems, such as SAPERP systems, and Oracle databases. PRIMEQUEST is certified for SAP’s in-memory database, SAP HANA.
With the introduction of the PRIMEQUEST 2000 series, an x86-based solution is able to match both the performance and resilience of a UNIX system, while convincingly winning the price-performance argument. As a result, Fujitsu presents enterprises with an alternative path for mission-critical computing deployments, where unplanned downtime is not an option.
As end user demand for data centre infrastructure performance and capacity continues to increase, Fujitsu is enabling scale-up with the new PRIMEQUEST 2000 series third generation servers. New models, available to order immediately, feature more processor cores and more last level cache than their predecessors. This means PRIMEQUEST is also ideally suited to mission-critical applications such as in-memory applications – where results can be processed faster, helping accelerate business velocity, as well as crucial real-time compute operations where unplanned system downtime can be deadly and expensive, such as running billing applications for telecommunications providers.
“FUJITSU Server PRIMEQUEST has once again raised the bar for business operational efficiency and performance,” says Derek Yiu, General Manager, Solutions and Services Business, Fujitsu Hong Kong. “As more and more enterprises accelerate their digital transformation journey, IT departments are challenged more than ever to optimize resources and help their organizations thrive in the digital business era. Fujitsu remains committed to helping our customers harness business opportunities arising from the latest trends in cloud, big data, Internet of Things and mobility.”
