TOKYO, Japan: FUJITSU introduces Virtuora SP software that automates tasks such as network system operation and maintenance. The latest solution from Fujitsu offers services to customers quickly and cost-effectively.
In a bid to support total lifecycle of network services, Fujitsu paces customers' network service provision through software-defined networking (SDN) technology and network DevOps solutions such as Virtuora SP.
Virtuora SP automates tasks such as network operations and maintenance, offers two basic functions through its Policy Design Tool and Policy Engine. Users can define custom policies leveraging the Policy Design Tool for better operations and maintenance tasks. The Policy Engine automates a variety of tasks by setting schedulesaccording to a defined policy, thus, eases network operations and maintenance tasks.
Virtuora SP’s Policy Design Tool allows users to create graphical workflow using standard Business Process model and Notation flowchart formatting to define a policy. The software provides an interface suitable for network device operation. Using SSH/SCP and REST standards, it functions as a network device control interface and is capable of collecting and analyzing the status of variety of network devices and traffic volume per port.
Policy definitions need to be described in programming language but by using Policy Design Tool one can create their graphical workflow using standard Business process model and notation flowchart formatting & define it as policy, moreover it works as network device control interface which helps in network line switch over and switch back. Built in simulator function allows the users to test the workflows they have created in a virtual environment, thereby, reducing the cost and time compared to testing on actual devices.. When there is a fault in network, operating network line goes on standby mode and switches back after the fault is repaired. Virtuora SP defines these tasks as policies, enabling automatic operation.
