HP Updates Z1 Workstations; Announces Remote Graphics Software for Mac OS

PALO ALTO, CA: HP unveils third generation updates for its Z1 workstation, giving it a boost with more memory, more storage and the latest Intel processors.
The HP Z1 G3 workstation is 47% smaller, 51% lighter and 21% less expensive than the previous version delivering enhanced performance at great value.
The Z1 G3 workstation features 23.6 inches to more easily accommodate customers wanting to run dual-display setups, anti-glare UHD 4K display (3840 x 2160 pixels). The feature upgrades include Intel Xeon processors with 64 GB ECC (Error Checking and Correction) RAM, NVIDIA Quadro graphics card. It also offersfast boot-up, calculation and response times for large files by leveraging Dual PCIe HP Z Turbo Drives , and users also have support to add additional hard disk drives of 2.5-inch SATA SSDs, Dual Thunderbolt3 ports with USB Type C connectors and USB 3.1 support for quick and easy data transfer.
Remote Graphics Software
HP also announces updates for its Remote Graphics Software (RGS); new remote graphics tool will allow Mac users to tap into the massive computing power of HP Z workstations. RGS allows engineers, animators and scientists to securely use files even when they are away from the workstation.
With HP RGS Mac users can Connect seamlessly across the office or world to a Windows or Linux workstation session for joint development, interactive edits and design reviews, access business-critical, high-performance 2D, 3D, video and media-rich applications, view graphics rich content on a single display or on multi-monitor setups. Mac users will be able to run 4K video-editing applications hosted by the HP Z via the RGS plugin. RGS software is a free download for existing HP Z workstation owners.
