FREMONT, CA: Huawei partners with Accenture, Cloudera, Anabatic, IDPRO, Infosys and Telkomsigma to launch FusionSphere 6.0. The new project aims to use ICT technologies, products, and solutions to support their strategic business partners in Indonesia.
FusionSphere 6.0 is a new solution for facilitating continuous production innovation on cloud. It is an enterprise-class cloud operating system that helps customers deploy virtual servers, private clouds, public clouds, hybrid clouds, clouds desktop, and NFVI (Network Functions Virtualization Infrastructure).
Huawei FusionSphere 6.0 keeps pace with the open-source OpenStack community, complies with the native OpenStack standards, and supports OpenStack application programming interfaces (APIs). The solution is flexible enough to adapt to each customer's unique needs as any third-party applications developed based on native OpenStack can run on Huawei FusionSphere 6.0 without having to make changes. This reduces investments on IT assetsand human resources and gives necessary agility and efficiency to deal with market changes.
FusionSphere 6.0 is designed to help enterprises overcome the challenges faced during different stages of IT transformation, making enterprise business and workflow more effective and efficient. The concept of open source used in components, architecture, and ecosystem in Huawei FusionSphere 6.0 enables its customers to have more choices in software.
Huawei FusionSphere 6.0 provides disaster recovery and backup solutions that support host replication, storage replication and virtual intelligent storage (VIS). The software-defined networking (SDN) solution integrates with both the software and hardware builds of service-oriented networks, automatically and intelligently manages virtual and physical networks and supports dedicated IT service operations. FusionSphere also provides infrastructure as a service (IaaS) for tenants and upper-layer applications through unified service catalogues and APIs.
Huawei has already invested heavily in technological R&D and product innovation to promote industry development and transformation. Now the company plans to share their services in the ICT sector globally and create values and benefits for their users in the cloud era.
"We also focused on IT infrastructure, software platforms and enterprise cloud services when creating the cloud ecosystem. Together with partners here in Indonesia, we are optimistic that we can create an open cloud ecosystem and achieve mutual success," says Alex Cheng, Chief Technology Officer, Information Technology, Data Centre and Cloud Solution Sales, Global Solutions Elite Team APAC Branch, Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd.
