    Huobi Secures PCI DSS Certification

    Apac CIOOutlook | Wednesday, August 04, 2021

PCI DSS is one of the highest-level security certifications for financial organizations globally, and it attempts to secure credit and debit card transactions against data theft and fraud.

FREMONT, CA: On the 7th of June, Huobi Financial Inc., dubbed "Huobi," announced that it had passed the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard assessment and received the PCI DSS certification.Huobi has streamlined its card binding procedure following the acquisition of the certificate to improve card information security. Customers will be able to see a PCI logo on the card binding interface while purchasing crypto assets.

Visa, MasterCard, JCB International, Discover Financial Services, and American Express created the PCI DSS in 2004 as security standards. PCI DSS is one of the most severe and highest-level security certifications for financial organizations globally, and it attempts to secure credit and debit card transactions against data theft and fraud.

Top 10 FinTech Solution Companies – 2020"PCI certification is considered the best practice for the safeguarding of sensitive data and information, thereby helping us build long-lasting and trusting relationships with our customers. In order to obtain the certification, Huobi has to pass a comprehensive review of 12 requirements and more than 200 assessments based on the PCI DSS standards," said Ciara Sun, Vice President of Huobi Global Markets.

PCI certification maintains the security of card data by imposing a set of standards that include installing firewalls, the use of anti-virus software, and the encryption of data communications, among other things. In addition, access to network resources must also get monitored, and access to cardholder data must be restricted.

"Successfully passing the strict and complicated certification process indicates that Huobi possesses leading capabilities on security operation and safety protection. It also reflects our great emphasis on cardholders' information security. We believe that we can maintain our security construction work at an advanced level by leveraging our advantages in technology R&D and experiences in operation and management," added Ciara.
