IBM Security Command Center in the APAC region represents a significant investment in security incident response and training for organizations across APAC.

FREMONT, CA: IBM has announced a multi-million-dollar investment in its resources to help businesses in the Asia Pacific region prepare for and manage the growing threat of cyberattacks. The new IBM Security Command Center is the centrepiece of this investment, and it is designed to prepare everyone from the C-suite to technical employees for cybersecurity response strategies through extremely realistic, simulated cyberattacks. The investment also includes a new Security Operation Center (SOC), which will be part of IBM's current global SOC network, which provides security response services to clients around the world 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

According to a new IBM global analysis, Asia has become the most targeted region for cyberattacks, accounting for 26 percent of all attacks in 2021. In comparison to the previous decade of the report, where North America and Europe were historically the most targeted regions, the data demonstrates a major regional shift. This pattern indicates an increasing demand for security investments among Asian businesses, particularly those in financial services and manufacturing, which have been the most targeted sectors in the region. The new IBM cybersecurity centres are likely to address the most important aspect for businesses of all sizes: accelerating security plans and aligning business priorities with a security-first strategy.

Cybersecurity is one of the most significant obstacles to the exponentially developing digital economy and the success of countries around the world. Cybersecurity is a global issue that is posing a greater danger to businesses than ever before. To counter this

threat, cutting-edge technology and the collaboration of the entire ecosystem is required, the IBM Cybersecurity Hub is a solution to that challenge. Clients will be able to respond to incidents more quickly, effectively, and transparently as a result of it.

The new IBM Security Command Center is the first in the Asia Pacific to be able to train the entire company in the art of responding to a cyberattack, with the added benefit of our security specialists' real-time experience from the adjacent worldwide Security Operations Center. With Asia Pacific's massive growth, variety, and position in the global supply chain, these skills have the potential to be a game-changer in helping companies deal with the region's mounting concerns.
