SAN FRANCISCO, CA: Inspur, a data centre product and solution provider, announces the launch of its InCloud 3000 hyperconverged solutions with a bid to provide large and mid-sized data centres the freedom to choose hypervisors without being locked in.
Its reliability and availability through N+N redundancy and 47 percent higher density compared to 1U rack-mounted servers provides simplicity, high efficiency and availability to its customers. Its combined power supply and cooling system reduces power consumption by 15 percent. It not only supports half-width compute node, full-width 4-8 socket nodes stack, PCIe extension node and storage extension node, but also incorporates scale-out and scale-up technologies tocater to the residence and flexibility enterprise data centres need.
The modular solution integrates compute, storage, networking, preconfigured virtualization resources and a cloud management platform. It is based on Inspur's SmartRack, a rack scale converged solution. To give InCloud 3000 an operational speed that is ten times faster than traditional solutions, the solution is preconfigured with the new Inspur InCloud OS 4.5 and Quick Deployment Tools (QDT). With QDT, 4,800 virtual machines or 12,480 virtual desktops can be deployed within two hours.
The InCloud 3000 utilizes VMware Virtual SAN and has a preconfigured InCloud Manager, providing wide-ranging features including resource, operation and domain management, performance and service status monitoring, workflow, metering and billing, and self-service. VMware Virtual SAN shifts the management model for storage from the device to the application, enabling administrators to provision storage for applications in minutes.
"As a leading service provider in cloud computing and big data, Inspur has accumulated technology strengths in high-end servers, large-scale storage, cloud OS, information security and IaaS, PaaS and SaaS total solutions. The InCloud 3000 brings our technologies, expertise and capabilities together to best serve our customers," says John Hu, Vice President, Inspur Group.
