FREMONT, CA: IRI, a leading big data and technology service provider for consumer packed goods (CPG) around the globe, has appointed Paul Hinds as the new managing director for the Asia Pacific region based at Sydney, Australia.
As the former senior vice president of IRI’s UK Retail Solutions business, Hinds is a well-accomplished innovator and leadership professional. Under his leadership in the UK, IRI launched many innovative and eccentric solutions, technologies and services, including IRI Liquid Data platform, which empowered both their retail and manufacturer clients. In the UK role, his passion and drive for business changed IRI’s client approach and was able to establish partnerships with leading brands like Waitrose, Lloyds, M&S, Tesco, One Stop and Boots. He also was able to establish and develop IRI’s largest gateway function outside the United States, by providing data assets and strategic analytics services to clients.
“We are extremely pleased to announce Hinds’s promotion to managing director of IRI Asia Pacific, based in our Sydney operation,” said Andrew Appel, president, and chief executive officer of IRI. Hinds’s global experience, expertise, forward thinking and dynamism will help IRI grow in the market share in Australia and across the Asia Pacific region, and facilitate the rollout of the next generation ‘best of breed’ solutions, powered by Liquid Data, he added.
In a comment, Hinds noted that he’s extremely looking forward to his new promotion and has shared that new products are on the line for the Asia Pacific markets, especially in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and South Korea regions.
