Joe Biden Re appoints Eric Garcetti as the US Ambassador to India

The Former Mayor of Los Angeles is likely to run for the US ambassador to India with extended support from President Biden.      

FREMONT, CA: Eric Garcetti, the former Mayor of Los Angeles, was renominated as a US ambassador to India by President Joe Biden. The White House, while sending the nomination to the Senate, stated that Eric M Garcetti, following his administration in California, is all set to mark his role as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to India.

Anticipated since December over Mr. Garcetti’s nomination, a refined confirmation of the entire US senate was likely issued in recent times over his run for the US ambassador to India.

Karine Jean Pierre, the White House Press Secretary, has expressed her concern over the decision for the US Senate, referring to India as a significant partner of the US, mentioning the established synergy between the nations' leaders. Thereby, she concludes that the Biden administration is all set to root for Mayor Garcetti’s nomination, following a distinguished talk with the Senate.
