New York, NY -- Kaltura, leading video technology provider, today released its video platform integration within the Blackboard Learn Ultra learning management system (LMS). With this integration, users of Blackboard’s next generation, intuitive and responsive LMS can add video seamlessly as a native data type to their courses.
The Kaltura Video Tool for Blackboard Learn Ultra makes it easy to use Kaltura’s powerful features, including Kaltura Personal Capture, Kaltura Lecture Capture, Kaltura Webcasting, editing, interactive video quizzes, and analytics. Users will find familiar Kaltura elements beautifully integrated with Ultra workflows, for example, users will find their Kaltura My Media right within the main Ultra toolbars, and they will be able to easily upload and publish videos to a course media gallery or specific lesson.
“We’re very excited once again to be pioneers in the video for education space, as one of the earliest integrators with Blackboard Learn Ultra,” said Kaltura’s Co-founder, President and General Manager – Enterprise & Learning, Dr. Michal Tsur. “The speed and ease with which we’ve been able to release this integration really shows the advantages of the Kaltura Application Framework and our flexible platform. Since its inception, Kaltura has been a leading and founding proponent of open standards, and ensuring that our Framework is IMS certified for the Learning Tools InteroperabilityÒ (LTIÒ) standard has been a cornerstone of our product development efforts. Here, we see it paying off in a seamless integration with Blackboard’s innovative new platform.”
“We’re pleased to welcome Kaltura to the Blackboard Learn Ultra environment. As one of our long-standing partners, Kaltura has been bringing powerful video tools to the Blackboard community for more than a decade,” said Jim Chalex, Blackboard’s Vice President of Teaching and Learning Product Management. “The number of our clients adopting Blackboard Learn Ultra continues to grow steadily, and collaborating with partners like Kaltura to bring Ultra compatible integrations to market allows us to jointly deliver a connected experience for our users.”
