FREMONT, CA: Kepware, a software development company, releases KEPServerEX version 5.20 software. The software offers additional device and Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity for industries like Building automation, manufacturing oil & gas industries.
Kepware updated their flagship products BACnet/IP and ThingWorx to expand IoT gateway offering.
BACnet/IP
The BACnet/IP driver for KEPServerEX provides an interface to connect, monitor, and control building automation devices providing real-time data to a myriad of software applications, from building and energy management systems to enterprise IT networks. It provides connectivity to equipment using the BACnet protocol over Ethernet. It supports Accumulator Standard Object, Object-Level Command Priority, and Alarm and Event Services for smart innovative building designs.
ThingWorx
ThingWorx accelerates IoT application development by compressing the design-develop-deploy cycle reducing time to market and spurring innovation. The ThingWorx agent, now available in the IoT Gateway for KEPServerEX, provides improved interoperability with the ThingWorx IoT Platform. ThingWorx enables rapid creation of end-to-end “smart” applications for a wide range of markets including Smart Agriculture, Smart Cities, Smart Grid, Smart Water, Smart Buildings, and Telematics.
The release also features updates to 30 drivers and advanced plug-ins, including the Allen-Bradley ControlLogix Ethernet driver with added support for firmware version 28 across L8 and L7 models from Rockwell Automation.
