In any organization, risks are the principal cause of uncertainty. Companies, therefore, concentrate increasingly on identifying and managing risks before they even influence a business. Optima Partners, a global leading advisory body for regulatory compliance and risk management, delivers cost-effective, streamlined services tailored to customer requirements. The firm offers a true global local service to its industry-recognized experts, ranging from hedge funds to private equity companies and investment banks, to collaborate closely with a diverse range of its customers. Optima partners provide its customers the services required to meet the needs of a dynamic, complex financial regulatory climate with unrivaled experience in the international regulatory landscape, strong relationships with regulators and a deep commitment to providing clear and practical consultancies. Currently, the company provides services to over 500 customers in its international offices in New York, San Francisco, London, and Hong Kong.
Shannon M. Horton was recently appointed by Optima, as the director and head of the newly founded West Coast office. Shannon is an earlier senior adherence professional to KKR Credit Advisors. The nomination of Horton, based in San Francisco, is a part of the expansion investments of Optima Partner to key strategic markets. In this new role, Shannon will support and maintain relations with a large number of customers of the firm on the West Coast as well as oversee the operations of the firm.
Shannon was the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer for KKR Credit Advisors, a registered investment advisory firm based in San Francisco with assets under management of more than 50 billion dollars before joining the company. In this role, she supported compliance in a number of strategic lending initiatives, including the Business Development Company and the enterprises of the Closed-end Fund. She also led the expansion of a business development company such as NYSE’s Corporate Capital Trust( CCT) listing, together with a joint venture adviser with a leading asset management firm, and served as Chief Compliance Officer of KKR Income Opportunities Fund, a KIO ticket officer. Prior to these roles, she had been the Chief Compliance Officer of the Nelson Capital Management registered investment advisers, wholly owned by Wells Fargo Alternative Asset Management. Now, Shannon strongly believes that her position will be a significant career path while she leverages her previous experience that can play an integral role in achieving the company’s growth.
