Introducing the Best-in-Class, Ultra-Low-Light Capability, and High Dynamic Range of 100db smart imaging sensors to optimize video capturing in the harshest of environments.

FREMONT, CA: Similar to wrong glasses blurring the vision of a man’s eye, a faulty sensor may sometimes be misleading, especially in harsh environments. By updating to a better pair of glasses, the vision is clearer, and the health of the eye is maintained. How can the sensors be updated? Can the sensors become smarter? Or can it be re-invented? The answers to these questions were answered by SmartSens Technology, as the company launched a High-performance CMOS Image sensor.

The high-performance sensor supplier, SmartSens technologies, announced two variations SC2310T and SC4210T, powered by a new technology coined by the company as CMOS Image Sensors. The latest technologies include the company’s unique pixel architecture to deliver a superior quality image in ultra-low-light sensitivity. High Dynamic Range (HDR) of 100 dB above the industrial high-temperature grade operation deeming it to be the optimal match for the harsh environment applications.

Built on SmartSens’ unique pixel architecture, the new devices SC2310T and SC4210T are specifically designed to provide high-end imaging while utilizing lower power consumption. Not only do these sensors capture images with high quality, but they also ensure optimal sensor performance even in ultra-low-light conditions. These latest additions in SmartSens’ product portfolio have already marched ahead in the market with SNR1s of 0.21 lux. In addition to it, for compliance with higher industrial standards, these devices can be operated in the extended high-temperature range, from -30 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius.

The four-megapixel SC4210T and two-megapixel SC2310T SmartClarity Sensors are based on BSI pixel technology. They support video capture in 60 frames per second in HDR mode, allowing the image to be sharp and clear.

The company has built a strong portfolio over the last nine years in the field of imaging sensors used in electronics and hardware products. These products included sports cameras, drones, consumer automotive cameras, robot cleaners, smart home cameras, and surveillance. With the demand growing for the superior quality imaging sensors technology outside of conventional consumer applications, the SC2310T and SC4210T will expand the horizon of use cases and the product line for the consumers. The capacity to deliver unparalleled image quality in extremely low lighting conditions, and to operate under critical environmental temperature ranges, deems the devices to be fit and a most-wanted choice for next-generation video applications.
