FREMONT, CA: MapR Technologies, a provider of enterprise big data analytics, announces that various partners have integrated their technologies with MapR data platform and are offering without any cost for purposes such as demonstration, education and evaluation through Amazon Web Services (AWS) Test Drive for Big Data.
The newly blended technologies are available on AWS Test drives for Dataguise DgSecure, HPE Vertica, Apache Drill, and TIBCO Spotfire.
The AWS Test Drive for Big Data offers step-by-step lab manual and video that empowers customers to launch, login, and learn third party big data IT solutions in AWS CloudFormation on their own. It provides private IT sandbox environment that incorporates preconfigured server-based solutions.
The MapR integrated solution offers security, virtualization and business intelligence applications with production ready Hadoop.
Dataguise Test Drive
Dataguise protects sensitive data from unauthorized access and reduces risk by providing actionableintelligence. The solution enables the MapR customers to realize the utility of DgSecure that provides sensitive data protection, masking, and encryption and allows customers to start-up a sandbox with pre-installed and pre-configured MapR and DgSecure.
HPE Vertica for SQL on Hadoop Test Drive
HPE Vertica’s Structured Query Language (SQL) analytics engine explore and analyses the data stored in Hadoop data lake management platform. HPE Vertica for SQL on Hadoop AWS Test drive enables users to build a functional three-node cluster and install Vertica’s SQL analytics within MapR Hadoop environment, and offers a time span of four hour to evaluate and query Hadoop Optimized Role Columnar File formatted data through standard ANSI SQL statements.
Apache Drill and Spotfire by Syntelli Test Drive
The drive queries data and discovers schemes with Apache Drill, and creates dashboards using Spotfire. The sample data-sets and demos highlight the capabilities of a fully functional three-node Hadoop cluster and Spotfire.
“AWS provides a highly scalable platform where customers can easily spin up MapR clusters,” says Matt Lescohier, Senior Director, Business Development, MapR Technologies. “MapR is the only Hadoop platform distribution on the AWS Cloud that is available as an option on Amazon Elastic MapReduce (EMR), AWS Marketplace, now via AWS Test Drive. These AWS Test Drive offerings add value for our ecosystem partners by showcasing the performance, reliability, and scale our combined solutions provide to customers.”
