TOKYO: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, a provider of energy and environment solutions, launches EXCEEDHYPER series of packaged air-conditioners. The air-conditioner produces the highest level of energy efficiency and has advanced environmental compatibility.

The EXCEEDHYPER series of models come in the 3-6 horsepower (HP) range and adopt the R32 refrigerant. Simultaneously the air-conditioner will be introduced with a new "RC-DX3" eco-touch remote control unit. This provides enhanced ease of operation and advanced functions compared to the previous models.

TheFDT series- a part of the EXCEEDHYPER line-up; are indoor ceiling-mounted units with 4-way air outlets. The FDT series incorporates the industry’s first AirFlex panels which allow outstanding performance of the air-conditioners.

The AirFlex panel suppresses the unpleasant draftiness that is felt by people when air blows directly on them while still maintaining designated airflow volume. The FDT series room units also come with a new sensor function that detects human movement and automatically controls the temperature setting. This new function prevents excessive cooling or heating and automatically shuts off when no one is present or switches on when they are.

The eco touch remote control unit features a touch panel with a brighter liquid-crystal display (LCD) and displays the amount of energy that has been consumed that is the amount of energy saved.
