From the Surface Pro 10 to the HoloLens 3, Microsoft is introducing new updates in 2023 that will redefine existing software and systems.

FREMONT, CA:Microsoft has rounded up the predictions for this year, starting with the most obvious and slowly descending into more out-there guesses. The Surface Pro line is regressed every year and will continue in the year too. Specifically, the WiFi model will be rephrased with Intel’s 13th-generation mobile processor, bringing more performance. The hope for the Surface Pro 10 is looking for more ports and a better keyboard.

On the other hand, the 5G model will not see a huge upgrade. A new Arm-based processor is not expected, therefore Microsoft will not have a new part to use in a new model. There will be colourful models for the Surface Pro10 with 5G and options for more RAM and storage in line with the WiFi model. The Surface Pro 10 is likely to launch this year, following the Surface Pro 9.

    Surface Go 4

The Surface Go 3 was launched a year back and with the shift to Intel’s hybrid architecture, there should be notable performance improvements in the new model. Microsoft will also launch an Arm version like the Pro lineup. It will feature a less powerful processor such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c, but this is still a better idea as it will bring always-on connectivity to a more budget device.

The Surface Go family has looked mostly the same since it debuted in 2018 apart from a larger display introduced with the Surface Go 2. As recent Surface Pro models have a more modern design language with rounded corners, there will be changes in the Go models. Some new colour options are focused on. There will be support for the Surface Slim Pen 2 in the sense that users have the options to store it with the device itself. Surface Go releases are not a very consistent time frame, but they will happen from the second half of the year.

    Surface Laptop Studio 2

Compared to the Pro and Go lines, the Surface Laptop Studio series has less predictability. Microsoft dented a brand-new form factor in 2021 with the Surface Laptop Studio and it has been untouched for 2022 though Microsoft decided to refresh the Surface Studio desktop. It is rare for the company to give up on a new form doctor after one release, and the Surface Laptop Studio is exciting. Therefore, there is a new model expected in the year.

This new model would have newer Intel processors, presumably 13th-generation models, and potentially new Nvidia graphics since they use RTX 40 series laptop GPUs in 2023. There is an anticipation of a more refined design with some more ports such as HDMI and SD card reader. The Surface Laptop Studio 2 is also expected to launch along with Surface Pro10 in the fall.
