SINGAPORE: NEC Corporation and NEC Asia Pacific collaborate with Singapore Power and Space-Time Insight to improve the Energy Network Health Analytics in the country. The joint program is one of the key themes of Singapore Power Energy Advanced Research and Development (SPEAR) to enhance and guide the smart grid technologies into the energy infrastructure network. The project is being implemented under the Singapore Power Centre of Excellence (SP CoE).
The partnership will provide the companies a risk-free investment along with other beneficiary of maintenance planning of network infrastructure based on big data analysis. The joint program also provides “outrage intelligence” to verify the accuracy and real time blackout to restore the services.

Analytics play an increasingly critical role in maintaining and enhancing Singapore Power's world-class transmission and distribution services," says Brandon Chia Seng Boon, Head for Centre of Excellence at Singapore Power.
