FREMONT, CA: Nutanix- an enterprise cloud computing solution provider- announces the upgradation of Nutanix Prism, a one-click data centre automation solution, with network visualization, security and orchestration, and expanded set of APIs.
Nutanix Prism provides application-centric visualization of the network while reducing workload-pressure of IT teams. It gives the IT teams a comprehensive view of the physical and virtual network topology by providing detailed health and performance statistics of the network environment. The built-in network visualization enables data centre managers to detect and modify network issues that are hindering SLAs (service-level agreement).
Nutanix Acropolis Microsegmentation Services (AMS), integrated into the company’s cloud infrastructure stack, inspect, monitor and govern communication flows between individual workloads to provide more secure application environment. The alreadyexisting Microsegmentation technologies controls enterprise data centre threats. The application-specific policies help IT teams communicate between VMs, container-based applications and microservices running in a common environment via a unified control plane. Nutanix Prism serves as a single point of control for all infrastructure resources, along with seamless network integration.
Nutanix Acropolis helps cloud networking vendors automate network provisioning and modify policies in real-time based on application and IT lifecycle changes. It provides simple and open APIs, allowing automated policy updates to top-of-rack (ToR) switches, application delivery controllers (ADCs) and firewalls based on application lifecycle events.
“Businesses clearly see the value in converging the datacenter to reduce complexity, but stopping at storage and virtualization is not enough. Networking and security are integral functions that can no longer be treated as piecemeal add-ons that introduce more complexity and distract IT from delivering value back to the business,” says Sunil Potti, Chief Product and Development Officer, Nutanix. “We’re committed to making the Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform the de facto standard for companies looking to reduce IT complexity while benefitting from the complete integration of all IT infrastructure, from storage to security.”
