FREMONT, CA: Australian interactive workspace management tool OfficeMaps announced the launch of its new feature to help stop the spread of COVID-19 in office premises. In these changing times, a virus-free office workspace is essential, and these new features are aimed to help authorities maintain such an environment. OfficeMaps helps ensure that social distancing is maintained by providing employers with a visual representation of their assets and office space. This allows employers to allocate desks and office space while keeping with the social distancing norms. Also, OfficeMaps has just released a new contact tracing feature. This feature uses mapping technology to compile a list of which personnel are in the office at any time. It is necessary to understand the immediate work environment for safe and productive work.
"For the foreseeable future, gone are the days of employees' sitting side by side in open-plan offices. We are making social distancing easier by enabling administrators to selectively block desks from being allocated to permanent or temporary users," said Robert Wilkinson, CXO of OfficeMaps. The transition back to office life need not be perfect, and organizations need to have a plan of action if one of the employees returns with the virus. Contact tracing is just one of the many features embedded into the OfficeMaps proprietary platform in response to the pandemic's spread. The OfficeMaps team has seen a massive surge in the number of inquiries as employers wrestle with social distancing requirements. This software has the potential to be a lifeboat for doing business during COVID-19. Offices need to implement social distancing inside office premises, and they need to do so immediately. The features of OfficeMaps might make this transition to a new environment much more accessible.
"Over the past three months, we've seen a huge number of requests from HR managers and employers who want to ensure that their staffs are returning to the office safely. New enquiries have tripled since COVID-19," added Wilkinson.
