RALEIGH, NC: Red Hat announces the launch of Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 3.3 to improve the application delivery across the hybrid cloud. The new platform from Red Hat builds and maintains cloud native and traditional applications.

The OpenShift Container is built on Red Hat Enterprise Linux with application development and deployment capabilities. The latest innovation provides the newest version of Kubernetes 1.3 and Docker container runtime helping customers to embrace digital transformation.

    OpenShift Container Platform 3.3

The container platform 3.3 brings automatic capabilities to the application development lifecycle which drives developers to deliver faster updates and enhance its performance. The new software meets the cloud demands to provide flexibility and scalabilityin computing platforms. It helps deploying both legacy and new applications in hybrid clouds. The Kubernetes capability of the Openshift Container Platform reduces the unplanned downtime in the organisation.

The OpenShift Container includes all the security features of Red Hat Enterprise Linux platform and inherits all its ongoing updates. The security features are further enhanced using Docker container runtime which enables administrators to manage their Docker-formatted container image. The container integrated with Security Enhanced Linux allows users to control access and manage image updates.

“Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform forms the cornerstone of one of the industry’s broadest, most comprehensive set of enterprise-grade container solutions. The latest updates to the platform enable customers to more fully make use of their container technology investments and better embrace a DevOps methodology. This gives developers their needed automation tools and helps operations teams to better scale to meet customer demand, both with the aim of bringing better applications to market more quickly,” says Ashesh Badani, vice president and general manager, OpenShift, Red Hat.
