Riverbed launches SteelConnect SD-WAN Solution for a Cloud-Centric World

FREMONT, CA: Riverbed, a provider of application performance infrastructure unveils, SteelConnect a new software defined wide area network (SD-WAN) product for making network management simpler for IT professionals, irrespective of the infrastructure or system their company uses.
SteelConnect brings together network connectivity and application delivery orchestration across remote LANs, hybrid WANs and cloud networks like AWS and Microsoft Azure.
The product comprises of four elements: SteelConnect Gateway –a line of physical and virtual WAN gateways, SteelConnect Switches –a LAN switch, SteelConnect Access Points –which are WiFiaccess points, and SteelConnect Manager –a single cloud-based management console for all elements of the network.
SteelConnect is part of Riverbeds larger initiative, ‘Project Tiger,’ which is aimed at eliminating need of traditional routers in branch offices and provide cloud-based management solution.
SteelConnect offers a graphical user interface, zero-touch provisioning, and visibility into all users and devices connected to the distributed network through the integration of SteelCentral into the SteelConnect central management console.
