Selerant simplifies Process-Based PLM for Food and Beverage Manufacturers by releasing DevEX Baseline

By Apac CIO Outlook | Monday, August 10, 2020
    Tweet

The Milan based leading global provider of formula-based product lifecycle management (PLM) software, Selerant has announced the release of its new DevEX Baseline System for food and beverage manufacturers.

“Manufacturers need applications that provide speed, agility, accuracy, and ability to track the subtle changes across multiple product lines and regions in a global marketplace,” notes Gartner, Inc. in Hype Cycle for Process Manufacturing and PLM, Michelle Duerst, Simon F Jacobson, Rick Franzosa, July 19, 2017.

Selerant’s core DevEX PLM platform empowers companies to compact and control critical aspects of New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI), which includes innovation and R&D,  specification and formulation management, product portfolio management, compliance, and packaging.

Regardless of size or maturity of existing processes around PLM, food, and beverage companies are offered by three configuration profiles of DevEX Baseline.

Express Configuration is for the company which needs standard product data and does not have proper business processes to change control of the product data.

Standard configuration is for the company which wants to regulate product development with structured status management phases and detailed product data templates.

Plus Configuration is for the company which has complex business processes that need version control, specified templates and process reporting.

Existing DevEX customers can attain an assessment of their current installation to determine potential efficiencies incorporating DevEX Baseline.
