Simplifying Asset Trading with Unique Techniques

By Apac CIO Outlook | Tuesday, July 09, 2019

As blockchains mostly rely on the digital environment for all financial transactions, it makes them more vulnerable. Although the data security risks exist in blockchains for years before rival database systems and the technology progress depends on identification and elimination of these risks. Public blockchains appear to be the most vulnerable among different types of blockchains as visible to all participants.

Genesis Global Trading (Genesis), formerly the Second Market Trading Division, has been facilitating illiquid asset trading for more than a decade. Since May 2013, Genesis has provided digital currency purchasers and sellers with two-sided liquidity on a daily basis. Genesis Global Trading is not borrowing or lending digital currency. Nevertheless, GENESIS Global Capital, a Genesis Global Trading affiliate, allows institutions to lend Bitcoin and other numerical currencies over fixed terms, in large quantities.

The affiliate of Genesis Global Trading, Grayscale Investments, offers both one asset and diversified investment products access to the digital currency asset class for accredited investors. For all Grayscale investment products, Genesis acts as a distribution and marketing agent. Grayscale has a proven history and unparalleled experience and is the world's largest digital currency asset manager. Grayscale has access to the largest digital currency intelligence network in the world as part of the Digital Currency Group to develop better investment products. Future investors can now embrace a digital future within the context of institutional investment.

BitGo, a blockchain security company, is partnering with Genesis Global Trading Platform, which is designed to allow customers to trade cryptographical material from BitGo custody directly. BitGo has sought to strengthen its custodial services after the recent acquisition of a crypto custodian qualification by protecting customers' funds by letting them trade in digital assets without any withdrawal from hard storage. The new feature allows BitGo custodial customers to purchase or sell orders directly from the cold storage company without the need to manage keys or move their property. No additional fees are paid for internal cold storage activities.

Although transparency and safety are of reasonable concern, not all blockchain must be fully transparent or openly public, as blockchain use cases remain in the initial phase. It should not be a long-lasting concern to adopt this new technology, because the blockchain protocol is intended to protect itself.
