Smart LiDAR Sensor solutions are significantly contributing to autonomous driving developments in the automobile industry.

FREMONT, CA: RoboSense, a provider of LiDAR perception systems for autonomous driving, partners with ControlWorks, the supplier of automotive electronic systems in Korea. This latest partnership hopes to provide RoboSense's Smart LiDAR Sensor Systems to Korean OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and more. The former's autonomous perception systems comprise advanced LiDAR hardware and AI point cloud perception algorithms that can give real-time environmental information from 3D point cloud precision localization, obstacles detection, classification, tracking to list a few. ControlWorks has agreed to provide localized sales channels, product services, and technical support for the Korean market. RoboSense will offer MEMS solid-state LiDAR perception systems for Level 3+ mass-production autonomous passenger cars to the Korean market.

The objective of this partnership is to push forward LiDAR perception system solutions to be implemented into the product strategy of automotive manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers. RoboSense has plans to team up with more companies promoting the mass commercialization of autonomous driving technologies through its advanced products. The large-scale production version of the RoboSense RS-LiDAR-M1 will make it a need for ControlWorks' customers to have an additional ECU on the vehicle to run the former's proprietary AI point cloud perception RS-LiDAR-Algorithms, which will significantly reduce mass production cost and also save space within the vehicle. The partnership is a significant milestone in ControlWork's autonomous driving development too. Combined with its long term experience in the automotive field, the Korean independent driving market will be served better.

RoboSense is the leading global supplier of LiDAR perception solutions for autonomous driving. Headquartered in Shenzhen, China, with branch offices in the U.S., Germany, Beijing, and Shanghai, the company is committed to delivering comprehensive LiDAR environment perception solutions. It's expert team is working in core technical fields to bring innovations. RoboSense currently has two product lines, including the MEMS solid-state LiDAR and Mechanical LiDAR systems. The company's LiDAR solution's use cases range from self-driving logistics car to industrial vehicles to passenger cars and many more. Its customers include leading automotive companies, OEMs, and Tier 1 suppliers.
