BEIJING, CHINA: Sugon, a provider of computer hardware services and solutions, announces a partnership with Seagate to boost the storage demands of their TC4600T line of server products by incorporating Seagate’s latest 4TB Enterprise performance 3.5 HDD.
The Sugon TC4600T server is ideally designed for large scale data centers and suitable for a broad range of categories that include server storage area networks, converged storage and object storage. Storage capacity is a growing demand in the data center market as the requirements for high-definition photographs and long term scientific researches increase.
The Enterprise Performance 3.5 HDD from Seagate is the industry’s highest performing 4TB hard drive for data ingest and analytics with speeds of over 300MB/s while streaming data. The hard disk is suitable for High Performance Computing (HPC), scale-out storage scenarios and big data analytics and ideal for applications in the education, scientific research, cloud computing and government sectors.
The Seagate HDD includes the latest generation 12Gb/s SAS interface for future system scalability; a 2M hour MTBF rating and 750 TB/year workload rate limit; and also provides superior sequential and random read and write performance with contrast to traditional Nearline hard drives.
Sugon with the existing partnership with Seagate, is also implementing Seagate enterprise storage solutions in its server lines, including the Enterprise Performance 10K and 15K HDD and 8TB Enterprise Capacity 3.5 HDD.
“With rapidly improving computer performance and dramatically developing internet technologies object storage and hyper-converged storage are becoming increasingly mature resulting in new challenges for effectively storing and managing huge amounts of data,” says Ms. Sandy Sun, Seagate’s vice president and general manager for Asia-Pacific and China sales. “Both Seagate and Sugon have paid close attention to customer needs and are committed to providing the best solutions for users to make the most of their data. I’m pleased that the new Seagate Enterprise Performance 3.5 HDD enables Sugon to achieve this goal by addressing the capacity and performance needs of their various workloads.”
