SNAP Things Platform
SNAP is an embedded application platform for the Things in IoT deployed to address the real-world challenges of commissioning RF networks and scale up the number of IoT devices per site. It can inject smarts into IoT devices and brings visibility into the health of the data sources.
New Features in SNAP
The new capabilities in SNAP Things Platform include a series of new software services that address the common requirements of IoT solutions. It overcomes the challenges the developers had to face earlier such as writing infrastructure code and creating fundamental framework. The other services of SNAP include node management, network health, and automated data collection from remote SNAP devices.
Other Offering
The latest offering enables developers to access the new SNAPtoolbelt for interacting with devices in a SNAP network. SNAPtoolbelt is employed for setting configuration parameters and pushing software to remote devices.
“These are very exciting times as the 3rd wave of the Internet merges with the 4th Industrial Revolution,” says Johnny Thorington, Synapse’s recently appointed Chief Technology Officer. “The top industrial use cases across hundreds of industries require custom intelligence at the edge enabling Intelligent Things to sense, analyze, respond and control. Making it easy for enterprise developers to connect, create, deploy and manage solutions to do these things has never been done before. We are excited to launch our SNAP 3 Things Platform to do just that - using our services-oriented and event-driven architecture to make it happen.”
