MOUNT LAUREL, NJ: Talon, a Microsoft enterprise file-sharing, and collaboration solutions provider for distributed locations, announces the general availability of the latest version of its flagship CloudFAST solution - CloudFAST 4.0. It improves software-defined storage, to make cloud storage functions the primary operational storage resource for the enterprise.
CloudFAST 4.0 is based on Microsoft Windows intelligent file caching technology helping distributed enterprises achieve unprecedented centralization and consolidation of unstructured data. It enables the consolidation of numerous data silos into one global information footprint accessible from any part of the world. This gives real-time access to corporate storage and file shares to all remote users. The new management APIs provide easy scripting and simplified remote management.
CloudFAST 4.0 enables a new cloud-based model for procurement, licensing, deployment and provisioning while enhancing visibility, scalability, and awareness, eliminating distributed enterprise storage complexity and backups.
The Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) helps manage and monitor the entire Talon infrastructure through a single platform while enhancing licensing via Azure Storage (Azure Files) and StorSimple. The Azure Storage and Azure IaaS resources allow rapid creation of Azure-based data centers.
The latest version has the advantage of being more flexible and cost-effective with comprehensive infrastructure monitoring for predictable performance. It also makes vital applications available in private cloud, public cloud-based deployment, and traditional enterprise deployments.
