HYDERABAD, INDIA: Tech Mahindra announces the launch of Virtual Network Function (VNF) Exchange along with Software Defined Networks (SDN) and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) products.
Tech Mahindra’s VNF Exchange empowers vendors to achieve VNF benchmarking and VNF stack pre-certification including underlying hardware, hypervisors, OS, VNF, and Management and Orchestration. The vendors can also achieve VNF design certification based on the network design of communication providers.
The service providers can achieve major foot-hills in innovation through VNF Exchange pre-certification platform. It diminishes the entry barrierfor NFV vendors and entitles them to take advantage of improved CapEx, OpEx and Agility of SDN and NFV. The total cost of operation reduces significantly while deploying new technology through VNF Exchange pre-defined components. The pre-certification process can further accelerate the time-to-market for the VNF vendors to bring better insights in businesses.
“To profitably meet the growing demands on their networks, service providers across the globe are launching strategic network transformation initiatives,” says Manish Vyas, President, Communications Business, Tech Mahindra. “As an example, AT&T’s stated goal under their Domain 2.0 initiative is to virtualize and control 75 percent of their network by 2020. In order to achieve such goals, it is essential that we accelerate the network transformation rate. Our VNF-Exchange is geared to do just that. With pre-certified solutions, it will speed up the rollouts of SDN and NFV solutions.”
