What are some of the challenges impacting the logistics industry?

The challenges of putting change into effect might vary greatly from country to country. For instance, in countries like Indonesia and China that have enormous populations, the biggest issue comes from the people themselves because of the abundant workforce that is accessible at relatively low rates.

As a direct consequence, there is typically opposition to change whenever new technology is introduced. In spite of this, throughout the course of time, people have a tendency to change their minds as they become more aware of the benefits that technology provides. This transition is taking place as a direct result of the continued increase in the cost of labor, while the cost of technology has either decreased or remained stable. As a consequence of this, relying completely on technology becomes a more cost-effective solution when contrasted with the use of manual labor.

What are some of the technology that you have implemented to make day-to-day work easier and streamline operations?

Other than the common tech we already have for years like end to end system and goods traceability, in our warehouse, we have implemented robotic technology, specifically an AGV robot. It supplants manual labor, such as forklift operators. With AGV, we simply position our goods on the robot, which transports them to the designated shelves. We input the location into the system, and the robot accordingly stores the cargo. This system drastically improves productivity by eliminating the need for manual labor. We only need one administrator to oversee and report on operations, as the system handles everything else automatically.

Over the past few years, logistics has experienced a noticeable shift due to the increasing demand for personalized and efficient service from customers. those which able to fulfil customers need, able to be agile and shifting the pattern following their requirement, will surely gain customers’ trust

How has your knowledge of agronomics helped you add value to client operations?

Agronomics is the study of land distribution, management, and productivity. By integrating agronomics into our operations, we can improve the efficacy of our distribution models and boost our output. It enables us to gain a deeper understanding of our customer's logistics requirements and establish a network of logistics centers to optimize their distribution processes. This connectivity enables customers to routinely evaluate and enhance their logistical paths, fostering a closer relationship with their logistics operations.

What would be your advice for other senior leaders and CXOs working in the logistics sector?

In the fast-paced world of logistics, it's crucial for businesses to stay relevant and meet the needs of their customers. COVID-19 has caused significant changes in both customer demands and the market. To remain competitive, it's necessary to be adaptable and able to adjust to new circumstances. Failure to adapt and meet the changing requirements of the market may cause a company to fall behind its competitors. Therefore, being responsive to customers' needs and flexible in the face of shifting market conditions are essential for long-term success in the logistics industry.

IT Database Consultancy and AI-Driven Data Protection in APAC

The Asia-Pacific (APAC) region is a nexus of rapid digital transformation, characterized by explosive data growth, complex regulatory environments, and increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. In modern enterprises, the security and integrity of their data assets are paramount. Achieving this requires a strategic integration of IT Database Consultancy—the foundation for structured data management—with AI-Driven Data Protection Solutions—the cutting edge of defensive and predictive security. The Foundational Role of IT Database Consultancy IT database consultancy forms the bedrock upon which all advanced data protection strategies must be built. Consultants provide the structural integrity required to ensure that enterprise data environments are secure, compliant, and operationally efficient. By establishing a strong architectural foundation, they help organisations reduce their attack surface and minimise vulnerabilities before deploying more sophisticated security technologies. A core component of their work involves designing and optimising database architectures—whether on-premise, in the cloud, or within hybrid environments—for performance, scalability, and security-by-design. This includes implementing best-practice measures such as indexing, performance tuning, and efficient storage management. Beyond architecture, consultants conduct in-depth security posture assessments to uncover gaps in configuration, access controls, encryption, and audit log management. They remediate these gaps by enforcing least-privilege access, securing data both at rest and in transit, and establishing robust monitoring and logging protocols. Compliance is another critical dimension, especially in APAC’s highly diverse regulatory landscape, governed by laws such as India’s DPDP Act, Singapore’s PDPA, and Australia’s Privacy Act. Sanitizer   enhances secure file transfer and regulatory adherence, enabling database consultants to implement compliance measures efficiently across cloud and on-premise environments. Database consultants ensure that data environments align with local compliance mandates, addressing requirements around data residency, consent management, and cross-border transfers. In doing so, they effectively “prepare the house,” ensuring organisational data ecosystems are clean, structured, and fortified before advanced AI-driven protection layers are introduced. Elevating Defense with AI-Driven Data Protection While traditional security measures remain necessary, they are increasingly inadequate against the volume, speed, and sophistication of modern cyber threats in the APAC market. AI and machine learning fundamentally transform this landscape by shifting security from reactive to predictive and proactive. These technologies enable organisations to detect anomalies, identify risks, and respond to incidents faster and more accurately than human teams alone. Echoss   Technologies offers AI-driven CRXM solutions, unifying CRM and CXM to enhance customer engagement, personalization, and secure data management in APAC. AI-driven behavioural analytics establish a baseline of regular data activity—who accesses which data, at what time, and from where. Any deviation from this baseline, such as unusual file access patterns or large data transfers during off-hours, is flagged immediately. This capability is crucial for detecting insider threats and zero-day attacks that often bypass traditional rule-based systems. In parallel, AI tools automatically discover and classify sensitive information across distributed systems, helping organisations gain visibility into personal data, financial records, and intellectual property. This ensures the highest-value assets receive the strongest protection. AI also plays a pivotal role in threat prioritisation and incident response. By correlating thousands of alerts across different platforms, AI distils security signals into a manageable set of high-priority actions. Automated responses—such as isolating compromised accounts or blocking suspicious IP addresses—enable rapid containment, addressing the chronic skills shortages and alert fatigue challenges prevalent across APAC. As enterprises adopt Generative AI, AI-driven security further safeguards the integrity of AI models, protecting against risks such as data poisoning and unauthorised data extraction. For modern enterprises in APAC, data is the engine of growth. The strategic integration of IT Database Consultancy and AI-Driven Data Protection is not merely a technical upgrade; it is a foundational business imperative. It moves the enterprise beyond basic perimeter defense into intelligent, adaptive, and proactive security, ensuring that, as the digital economy in APAC continues its rapid expansion, the integrity, privacy, and sovereignty of corporate and customer data remain uncompromised. ...Read more

The ROI of Cloud Migration: Beyond Cost Savings to Competitive Advantage in APAC

In the rapidly growing Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, cloud migration is no longer just a trend—it's a critical strategic imperative. While the initial business case for moving to the cloud often centers on cost savings (a legitimate and significant benefit), the actual return on investment (ROI) lies in the ability to unlock a competitive advantage. For APAC businesses, from bustling financial hubs to emerging digital economies, cloud migration offers a pathway to agility, innovation, and long-term resilience. The Economic Case: Shifting from CapEx to OpEx The most immediate and measurable advantage of cloud migration lies in the transformation of a company’s financial model. By shifting from traditional on-premises data centers to cloud-based infrastructure, organizations reduce capital expenditure by avoiding significant, upfront investments in hardware, servers, and physical facilities. Instead, they adopt a flexible pay-as-you-go model, freeing capital that can be redirected toward core operations, research and development, or market expansion. At the same time, operational expenditure is optimized as businesses pay only for the resources they consume, eliminating the inefficiencies of over-provisioning to meet peak demand—a challenge particularly relevant for industries with seasonal or fluctuating workloads, such as e-commerce during holiday periods. Yet, while cost efficiency is a clear benefit, focusing solely on expense reduction risks overlooking the broader strategic value. The ROI from cloud adoption stems from harnessing its capabilities to accelerate innovation, enhance agility, and drive sustainable business growth. Unlocking a Competitive Edge Beyond the balance sheet, cloud migration delivers a range of strategic advantages that position organizations for long-term success in the highly competitive APAC market.  Sanitizer   enhances secure file transfer and compliance, enabling businesses to safely leverage cloud-based innovation and agile operations. By enabling accelerated innovation and agility, the cloud allows businesses to adopt a "fail-fast" approach, rapidly creating and testing applications in minutes rather than weeks—a capability that is particularly vital in fast-moving sectors such as fintech and retail. Its elastic scalability further supports growth across the region’s diverse markets, empowering companies to seamlessly respond to surges in demand or expand into new geographies without the burden of building additional infrastructure, thereby leveling the playing field for small and medium-sized enterprises. Concerns around security are also addressed, as leading providers such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud invest heavily in advanced protections, compliance frameworks, and resilient disaster recovery systems—an especially critical safeguard in a region often impacted by natural disasters. CMA provides Othello Connect, a cloud-based production management system, improving efficiency, scheduling, and operational oversight for APAC SMEs. The future of cloud computing in the APAC region is projected to experience growth rates exceeding those in other parts of the world. Cloud is no longer just a cost-cutting measure but a catalyst for digital transformation, innovation, and economic growth. For businesses in the region, the ROI of cloud migration is a strategic investment in a future-ready, competitive, and resilient enterprise. ...Read more

Selecting AI That Fits Frontline Workflows

Hospitality and retail executives are being asked to fund AI programs while many frontline systems still run on tightly defined workflows. The purchasing risk is no longer whether an AI feature can produce an impressive demonstration. It is whether that feature can enter a live environment without creating extra staff work or weakening an established process. Guest-facing businesses feel the gap quickly because delays at an entrance or service point are visible to customers. Useful AI begins with a bounded job. Face recognition and other computer-vision screening applications need a clear event to detect and an equally clear action that follows. A system that produces information without fitting the decision made by staff merely adds another screen to watch. Buyers should examine how detections become alerts and whether employees can act without switching between disconnected tools. Exception handling should also be clear before rollout. The practical test is workflow fit rather than the breadth of an AI portfolio. Accuracy has to be judged in the conditions where the system will work. Lighting, camera placement, foot traffic and environmental variation can alter what a model sees. Procurement teams need to understand the sensing method and the controls used to reduce false alerts, then compare those details with conditions at their own sites. A technical specification has value when it helps explain expected behavior in a crowded entrance or another live setting. Pilot design should reproduce those conditions rather than rely on a controlled demonstration. Deployment discipline matters just as much. Hospitality and retail estates often contain older software alongside newer cloud applications, while locations may differ in network quality or hardware layout. An AI project that requires wholesale replacement of surrounding systems can turn a focused use case into a much larger technology program. Integration requirements, device placement, user permissions and maintenance responsibility should be clear before approval. Buyers also need a realistic path for updates after launch because computer-vision performance can depend on configuration choices made at each site. “SpeedUP’s system concentrates temperature measurement on detected faces to reduce false alarms from unrelated heat sources.” Governance deserves equal scrutiny when cameras or biometric functions are involved. Executives should know what data is captured and where it is processed, then set retention rules that fit company policy and local requirements. Staff should understand when the system is making a detection rather than a decision. Keeping that distinction visible reduces the chance that an automated alert is treated as unquestionable. A credible provider should tie a narrowly defined AI use case to a specific site process and show how the system behaves under real site conditions. Deployment burden should stay proportionate to the problem being solved. Broad claims about digital change matter less than evidence about detection logic and system fit. SpeedUP merits consideration for buyers concentrating on computer-vision use cases rather than a broad software refresh. It is shifting its focus toward AI and offers a fever-detection kiosk that combines face recognition with thermal imaging. The company’s system concentrates temperature measurement on detected faces to reduce false alarms from unrelated heat sources. It pairs thermal monitoring with optical imagery, and an operator alert can be triggered when elevated temperature is detected. For organizations evaluating AI at controlled entry points, SpeedUP presents a focused proposition built around a defined detection task and direct staff response, making it a practical choice. ...Read more

Global Impact of AI on Industry Transformation

The integration of AI into everyday operations has become essential for various industries, including software, retail, healthcare, and hospitality, as they strive to enhance customer service. An AI-driven e-commerce platform that utilizes predictive algorithms to curate product recommendations based on a user's shopping behavior can significantly improve the overall user experience. AI's role in developing customized products and solutions resonates with customers, enhancing brand perception. Many organizations across diverse sectors are now turning to AI experts for assistance in gaining a competitive advantage.  According to business magnate Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, an AI-triggered futuristic breakthrough will be the employment of robots who exhibit human behavior in routine tasks and alleviation of manual intervention to a very large extent. Quite recently, OpenAI, a non-profit AI research company had several online sources abuzz for apparently developing a system that can imitate a task by merely observing a demonstration. Experts opine that AI-powered robots will be a double delight for industries since they would accelerate task performance efficiency and drastically reduce operational costs. Siri, the latest offering of technology giant Apple, and renowned car-manufacturer Tesla's highly sophisticated car fleet are current orchestrations of AI-powered automation.
