Today, healthcare cloud security is becoming a growing concern as medical firms lose visibility and control while adding cloud-based tools to its IT infrastructure. Initially, providers were hesitant with cloud adoption especially with public cloud as it might become HIPAA compliant if data is being stored in a third party facility.
Organizations have several options when it comes to cloud computing but that doesn’t mean they can be reluctant with cloud security. They need to opt for cloud solutions that bring add-on tools from other vendors.
Also, misconfiguration of several cloud platforms was an egregious threat to cloud security. And adding more cloud tools and services as cloud can lead to misconfiguration. This is one of the reasons why there is a serious need to implement cloud security.
Through information sharing, organizations can be more successful in detecting threats that can potentially harm the network. Primarily, it counts on the support and information sharing among organizations. As the IT infrastructure continues to evolve, healthcare firm will have to purview how they protect over their network. And adding security can give them the much needed visibility over cloud tools while decreasing outside threats.
