The adoption of DevOps has a revolutionary influence on Salesforce teams' work, resulting in a slew of business benefits that help firms extract even more value from their Salesforce investment.

Fremont, CA: Salesforce DevOps enables IT departments to increase the speed, frequency, and quality of their releases, resulting in increased business value. However, there are other reasons why Salesforce customers seek out powerful DevOps solutions and implement agile DevOps processes.  Here are three benefits of Salesforce DevOps.

    Faster deployments

Previous Salesforce pipeline deployments were error-prone and time-consuming, as teams depended on inferior manual techniques like change sets to migrate changes from development to testing environments and then to production. The use of complete DevOps systems like Gearset has allowed teams of both developers and administrators to improve their deployment success rates drastically. Over half of those who responded to our poll said their typical deployment time was less than an hour, indicating a considerable reduction in the time it takes to test and make new apps, features, and customizations available to consumers.

    Higher-quality releases

DevOps involves quality assurance and relies on automated workflows to move work through the pipeline, using version control as a source of truth and pulling from and merging into it. Testing and release governance procedures can be incorporated at every level of the process to ensure that new features function effectively and meet business objectives. The new work can then be delivered at any moment without disrupting existing functionality or generating production concerns.

    Rapid release cycles

A flexible DevOps process can support numerous workstreams and concurrent projects at various degrees of completion, which permits release pipelines to contain multiple workstreams. New features are regularly tested and published thanks to well-honed DevOps workflows that eliminate conflicts, bottlenecks, and obstructions. As a result, DevOps-enabled businesses become more agile, with teams that are faster and more capable of responding to business difficulties as they arise. Salesforce teams can quickly transition between workstreams and incorporate feedback from stakeholders. As a result, they're in a better position to pursue an iterative development strategy that allows them to deliver continuous enhancements to their end-users.
