Three Shopping Trends in Fashion Industry

By Apac CIO Outlook | Thursday, January 14, 2021
    Tweet

Technologies that enable buyers to see what a product would look like will help them find the right item, decrease returns, and promote customer satisfaction.

Fremont, CA: The transition from traditional mass shopping to online shopping along with technological innovations that are easily accessible have revolutionized the fashion and e-commerce landscape. Today, brands are adopting modern technology to build personalized, immersive, and remote shopping experiences. Let us take a look at three trends transforming the way we shop:

    Personalized experiences

Apart from AR and VR, which helps personalize shopping experiences online and offline, there are also other applications that is aiding in enhancing customer experiences. As most shopping experiences move online, e-commerce websites are stepping up their game by implementing applications such as chatbots, which can provide a personal touch to shopper’s experience.

    Sustainable practices

Fashion and shopping will seek to achieve higher sustainability from ethical supply chains to locally sourced materials. The creation of synthetic materials like vegan leathers have allowed fashion brands to have various materials to work with and enabling them to work towards sustainable practices that customers want.

    Try-on tech

Technologies that enable buyers to see what a product would look like (makeup, clothes, accessories, etc.) will help them find the right item, decrease returns, and promote customer satisfaction.

Many brands are implementing VR technology in-store, allowing customers to skip the fitting room part and head straight to the purchase section.
