Since an increasing number of guests or customers are using voice search to identify hotels, restaurants, and cafés, it is worth taking the time to capitalize on this technology trend properly.

FREMONT, CA: As the hotel sector is very competitive, it is vital to stay up with the latest technology developments and move with the times. Because consumer expectations and requirements are continuously altering, keeping your finger on the pulse is especially important in the context of COVID. Here are three technology trends in the hospitality sector:

    Contactless Payments

Contactless payments provide various advantages for hotels, resorts, restaurants, bars, and cafés, which is why it has recently become one of the most popular technological developments in the hospitality business. Contactless technology is easily compatible with loyalty programs and speeding up payments and enhancing consumer happiness.

Customers can make mobile contactless payments even if they don't have their wallet with them or if their credit card has been misplaced. Furthermore, now that COVID is firmly entrenched in the minds of hotel guests and other hospitality clients, contactless payments can be an excellent method to eliminate human-to-human contact.

    Robots in Hotels & Restaurants

The emergence of robotics and the employment of robots to undertake activities previously handled by humans is one of the fascinating technology trends the hospitality sector is grappling with. Robots may, for example, work as concierges in hotels, greeting guests and providing them with crucial consumer information.

Similarly, some hotels have begun to employ robots for cleaning tasks such as vacuuming floors and even killing germs. This method can be reproduced throughout the hospitality business, including restaurants, and robots can also help make an atmosphere more secure from Covid-19.

    Voice Search & Voice Control

Since an increasing number of guests or customers are using voice search to identify hotels, restaurants, and cafés, it is worth taking the time to capitalize on this technology trend properly. For this, make sure your website and booking engine are set up in a way that allows voice search to work successfully.

Voice control is becoming more popular in various circumstances. This might include everything from smart speakers in hotel rooms that enable for management of various in-room equipment to automated order taking in restaurants and cafés that eliminates the need for consumers to wait for wait staff to take their orders.
