WELLINGTON, NZ: TNZI, a tier 1 provider of international voice services and global carrier software, announces the acquisition of carrier licences in Hong Kong and USA. The company aims to develop its wholesale voice carrier network to include Asia, Europe and the United States for its customers, reports Sara Barker for Channel Life.
TNZI invested $NZ 5 million in capital expenditure to drive a significant capacity expansion program: the creation of two new PoP (point of presence between twocommunicating entities) facilities in Hong Kong and Singapore to better serve the Asian market, further strengthening its wholesale voice business and network reach in these markets.
TNZI also announces a new SaaS product suite –TollShield. TollShield uses patent pending technology to intelligently monitor network, detect suspicious traffic and enable rapid response to fraudulent calls. The TollShield platform can be deployed over multiple networks and will automatically detect real-time toll fraud across billions of calls.
TNZI president Tim Dunning says “TNZI is focussing on one of the fastest growing regions in the world – Asia –enabling our customers to expand and add value to their operations in this region. With the acquisition of these licences, our global network provides a key path for reliable delivery of calls in the Asian region, which has historically been challenging for many European and US-based telcos to reach.”
