The upgraded version of the stoneOS delivers vital features that boost the organization’s security and risk management systems.

FREMONT, CA: Hillstone Networks, which was recognized as one among the 25 Most Promising Amazon Solution Providers in APAC CIO Outlook’s current edition empowers enterprises against cyber threats and helps them perk up their security system by rapidly acting against them. The organization has recently upgraded its operating system, StoneOS 5.5R7, which includes more than 100 new features. With added IoT security support, the upgradation further protects enterprises from edge to cloud, in an ever-changing cybersecurity landscape.

The upgraded version of the operating system implements vital features, which provide intelligence, visibility and protection across the system that encompasses connected IoT devices. Furthermore, the problem of visibility that arises when more networks are linked to each other can also be eliminated by the new network along with streamlining the operational overhead for administrations.

Some of the key highlights of the update contain:

    • Enhanced IoT security posture to protect the interconnected Network Video Recorders(NVRs) and IP cameras. Additionally, the latest OS also helps in analysis and control by recognizing the network behavior and application protocol of every IP camera and NVR based on the performance analysis.

    • Updated operations to reduce the policy operation overhead with the help of policy assistant, analysis and management.

    • Robust reports personalized for different audiences in the form of granular reports, rich analysis and content along with presentation and exporting format.

Security is something that needs to be kept under constant watch, and so the organization believes that its solutions will continue to progress to stay ahead of time. Along with the IoT security and other features highlighted above, and the idea of keeping up with the future-oriented platform, StoneOS also aims at delivering a broad range of other features. The company has been implementing features to ensure that the security solutions provide an optimal user experience and advance the overall security posture of its client enterprises.
