Fremont, CA: Most companies got compelled to transfer their workforces to remote labor due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and many did so quickly. According to several studies, a large part of the workforce will continue to work remotely after the epidemic. However, working from home introduces new cybersecurity dangers and is one of the most often discussed recent cyber security trends. Traditional security screening may not have been as thorough as usual in haste to keep things running – and fraudsters have adapted their techniques to take advantage.
As a result, focusing on the security issues of remote workforces is a crucial cyber security trend. Identifying and mitigating emerging security vulnerabilities, upgrading systems, establishing security controls, and ensuring adequate monitoring and documentation are all part of this process.
WatchGuard® Technologies, a global pioneer in network security and intelligence, multi-factor authentication (MFA), advanced endpoint protection, and secure Wi-Fi, launched its new Firebox M290, M390, M590, and M690 unified threat management appliances. These new firewalls provide enhanced security and the quickest performance of any mid-range Firebox appliance ever, with the processing capacity to handle encrypted and HTTPS traffic. They are an economical yet highly competent option for small and medium enterprises. Furthermore, additional extendable ports and connections with WatchGuard Cloud allow these firewalls to give the flexibility required to meet evolving networking and security demands for customers and service provider partners.
“As the threat landscape evolves, performance and flexibility are both critical for organizations looking to secure their network. Our recent Q2 2021 Internet Security Report found that more than 91% of malware attacking networks is encrypted,” said Corey Nachreiner, CSO at WatchGuard. “It’s therefore essential for small and midsized organizations, or the partners servicing them, to have security solutions capable of processing encrypted traffic without negatively impacting overall performance. Our new mid-range M Series appliances deliver this capability and provide tools to simplify the deployment and ongoing management of these solutions as part of our WatchGuard Unified Security Platform.”
It's simple to deploy, administer, and define rules for these new WatchGuard Cloud Fireboxes, demonstrating WatchGuard's dedication to cross-platform interoperability. Service providers can use templates to share configurations across multiple appliances and clients and deploy devices remotely from the Cloud. A unified 30-day view of log data, quick log search, and automatic reporting significantly improve visibility. Furthermore, the new Firebox appliances operate in tandem with existing WatchGuard products, such as WatchGuard Wi-Fi Access Points and ThreatSync endpoint-network telemetry, to simplify previously complex security administration dramatically.
