    PepNet: SpeedFusion: The Catalyst

    CIO VendorAllan De Brincat, CTO
A computer network is undoubtedly the backbone of an enterprise, and a high degree of robustness is quintessential to prevent connectivity failure and collapses of any kind. “A network mishap in a large organization with employee strength of at least one thousand can, even for a small duration of five minutes, cost the business several thousands of dollars,” says Allan De Brincat, Chief Technology Officer, PepNet. The Australia-based company, recognized as the nation’s only Peplink distributor, offers professional networking solutions that support multi-WAN with failover, load balancing as well as WAN bonding aimed at enhancing reliability in connectivity.

The company’s ability to create a robust network within a few minutes makes it a cut above dozens of traditional network solution providers across the continent. In an era characterized by mobility, PepNet, with the assistance of SD-WAN, effortlessly connects devices deployed in a remote location over a 4G network in a span of 20 minutes. This path-breaking accomplishment gives the organization an edge over many networking peers who often consume eight business weeks for a six-line MPS link.

SpeedFusion is PepNet’s flagship product, and best defines the organization’s networking solution abilities. Most importantly, SpeedFusion has helped the organization revamp Voice over IP (VoIP).

PepNet plans to introduce an efficient power management solution shortly that ensures devices such as computers are switched on and off timely to prevent dissipation

An age-old concern plaguing communication over telephone networks is time spent in re-establishment of a connection during the event of a failure.

The advantage of SpeedFusion is that a logical bond consisting of multiple links enables seamless connectivity between two communication points, eliminating the probability of the traditional, abrupt disconnection. Additionally, PepNet’s solution also addresses concerns such as high latency, jitter, and packet loss through a feature called WAN smoothing. During a communication event, the function enables the smooth transition to a link with the lowest latency in a consolidation, a measure to enhance quality.

Apart from robustness and a significant upgrade in network communication, PepNet also ensures that the solutions delivered to its esteemed clients are cost-effective and highly scalable. De Brincat recalls a customer of PepNet’s reseller, who incurred an exorbitant monthly expenditure for the maintenance of a fixed line bill. The client's firm sought PepNet’s expertise in scaling up their network infrastructure and the immediate response from the network solution provider was an illustration to architect a solution that precisely meets business needs and offered redundancy. The solution affirmed that a single carrier failure is not going to impact the seamlessness of business operations. Additionally, this holistic solution drastically reduced the network management expenditure of the client by almost seventy percent. The most significant advantage of a PepNet solution is that the effort involved to orchestrate a network is the same, regardless of the number of devices to be connected, thus scalability is not ever a cause for concern.

In the wake of the energy conservation wave globally, PepNet plans to introduce an efficient power management solution shortly that ensures devices such as computers are switched on and off timely to prevent dissipation. The solution is quite similar to smart home management but targeted at industries and large enterprises. “As far as geographic expansion is concerned, the organization intends to expand beyond its home turf and cater to the needs of potential clients," concludes De Brincat.
