Petrawares’s document imaging technology has the ability to electronically capture document-based information, most of which is trapped on paper. Their capture technology can perform Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Handwriting character Recognition (HCR), Intelligence Character recognition (ICR), and Optical Mark Recognition (OMR). One such case was a project where Petraware automated the whole document capture process involved in purchasing Unit Trust Funds. Petraware was able to solve a comprehensive task involving investor, agents, fund house and fulfill compliance requirements as well. They successfully carried out forms and fingerprints scan, capture and electronic submission of forms within two days that would have taken fifteen to twenty days on an average.
