When it comes to effective supply chain planning, manufacturers today realize the imperativeness of intelligent solutions to predict and track consumer demands accurately and establish an equilibrium between demand and supply. However, complex supply chain networks and workflows, lazy forecasting, intricate planning systems, and traditional software solutions can prevent manufacturing businesses from realizing maximum efficiency and productivity. Not to mention, time is of the essence for successful planning. If planning processes take too long, certain constraints/requirements remain unconsidered. Planning is done on a monthly, weekly, and daily basis, and leaving out any important constraint or requirement could derail the progress of manufacturing processes. To help manufacturers overcome such pitfalls, Sydney-based Prophit Systems offers industry-leading supply chain planning and management software solutions.

Prophit Systems specializes in the development and implementation of supply chain management software for multi-site manufacturing companies. With over 30 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, Prophit Systems understands the practical challenges faced by manufacturers and discerns every supply pothole and delivery pitfall to prevent clients from falling into them. As such, the company’s solutions liberate supply chain operators and manufacturers from the chaos of unforeseen problems and blind spots by providing true foresight and unparalleled scenario modelling.

Prophit Systems models all the significant time and budget constraints and automates the planning processes, providing the manufacturing supply chain teams with time and visibility to improve strategic decision-making not just within the planning department but also for broader business. "By automating planning, we help our clients align their daily business decisions with monthly supply chain strategies," says Tim Gray, MD and Founder of Prophit Systems. "Our feature set mainly focuses on helping a planner make a timely decision by providing the right information at the right time in the right format," he adds.

The company's scenario management capability caters to the practical challenges arising at all levels of planning. It helps users compare and model the options that can potentially solve complex problems to select the best possible way to resolve a problem. This ensures that planners are capable of not only serving their customers but also managing the cost to serve.

Implementing Prophit Systems will deliver an ROI in under 12 months while being an important step toward value driven digitization and Industry 4.0. Prophit Systems will deliver fully integrated S&OP (IBP) processes that augment your existing business systems such as SAP or Oracle

With this in mind, Prophit Systems solution suite ensures alignment and visibility for the top floor management for more profitable and faster decision making and, in turn, interprets this to the shop floor for better resource utilization and capacity planning. "Implementing Prophit Systems will deliver an ROI in under 12 months while being an important step toward value driven digitization and Industry 4.0. Prophit Systems will deliver fully integrated S&OP (IBP) processes that augment your existing business systems such as SAP or Oracle." states Gray.

Realizing that one size fits all is no more relevant to the present market, Prophit Systems offers solutions that are configured to client-specific planning needs and steers its clients up the excellence curve of supply chain management. As a testament to this, Gray recalls an instance when Prophit Systems worked with a large-scale manufacturer, Visy, that had limited S&OP processes using SAP and spreadsheets. Prophit Systems made a huge difference by implementing an integrated solution suite that reduced four layers of manual data entry, $25 million of inventory, and 75 percent of planning time. In addition, Prophit Systems conducted a “Supply Chain Opportunity Assessment” and recommended S&OP automation to increase production and optimize raw material inventory. With this, the manufacturer could achieve 2.5 times more ROI than promised. Prophit Systems also helped them increase their market share by over 30 percent.

“Our biggest collaboration is with our clients and their ongoing and changing needs. We garner feedback and industry insights and build it into our cycle of learning and adapting within our client engagement model,” shares Gray. In addition, the company works with a multitude of institutions, such as Macquarie University, government bodies such as Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) and the Advanced Manufacturing Growth Center, and private consultants such as Oliver Wight, among others. Through these partnerships, Prophit Systems ensures that it can configure its solutions to support any supply chain process optimization or improvement.

At the heart of Prophit Systems’ success lies its agile approach combined with its adaptability. "Our strength in developing supply chain software comes from our intense and extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes," notes Gray. Prophit Systems has opened an office in Singapore to service its expanding footprint throughout SEA and will continue to strengthen and grow its relationships with implementation partners in the region. By harnessing emerging technologies like blockchain, big data analytics, machine learning, and AI, the company is enabling its partners and customers to overcome present and evolving supply chain challenges and reap opportunities to thrive. Prophit Systems will continue to drive its R&D to cater to the future supply chain landscape.
