PULSE Collaboration Systems: A Centralized Platform for Comprehensive Project and Process Visibility

    Richard Smallwood, CEO
With the emergence of innovative digital technologies, most organizations are utilizing cloud-based online workflow tools and systems for project management and other operations. However, given the disconnected nature of these tools, organizations using them often complain about data siloes and lack of operational visibility. Addressing this issue, Pulse Collaboration Systems offers an end-to-end project management platform that centralizes every aspect of project management and creates a ‘single view’ of the entire work process. “This process standardization not only reduces the operational overhead in managing multiple systems but also reduces cost,” states Richard Smallwood, CEO of Pulse. “Unlike our competitors, we are ‘customer-driven’ and focused on optimizing the workflow.” In fact, many of its clients consider Pulse to be the ‘heartbeat’ of their business for its seamless ability to connect all the key areas of a project.

With Pulse, organizations achieve several operational tools that include custom briefing forms, re-usable project templates, task and calendar management, automated workflow engine, resource planner, and finance tools for tracking estimates as well as purchase orders, among others.
Unlike common tools in the market, Pulse’s tools are connected and work together to facilitate integrated workflow and provide a consolidated view of project status.

Unlike our competitors, we are ‘customer-driven’ and focused on optimizing the workflow

In addition, these tools assist users in working on any project from anywhere, at any time. Large organizations with multiple offices can effectively manage every stage of the project at the granular level. Pulse offers a range of scalable tools with security layers in areas like document management for secured audit trails and safer document sharing for large global companies.

Pulse takes a consultative approach to client engagement. The company offers end-to-end support in the solution implementation, starting from process design and analysis to the loading of the processes and workflows into the Pulse system through implementation. Because Pulse is cloud-based and centralized, clients can be up and running quickly. The company has created additional layers of security in the areas of the network, document management, collaboration through audit trail, and version management. “Our full-service onboarding includes configuration, documentation, training, and post-launch support by experts who can provide both on-site and off-site support for the entire journey customization,” says Smallwood. “We have spent the last three years building our capability in different regions for better service delivery in the US, the UK, Europe, and Asia Pacific regions.”
The company continually invests in adding new capabilities and features in our offerings. It also has different API connectors that can integrate with existing legacy systems such as ERP, finance, payroll, and active directory.

Pulse improves the workflow and project management capabilities of some of the world’s biggest brands in various industries like defense, pharmaceutical, and telecommunication. Prague-based Havas Hercules—an advertising and production agency with approximately 1500 active users spread across 12 offices, working in over six languages—uses Pulse to create and track their projects end-to-end. Hercules’ clients request new work directly in Pulse, using the online briefing forms. Then, the request is directed to the respective department according to the workflow criteria such as language, country, and format. The project team quotes the work directly in Pulse and sends the proposal to the client for approval – directly in the system. Havas Hercules and its clients can now work in real-time and use Pulse for reporting, insights, and future marketing adaptations.

Moving forward, Pulse focuses on territorial expansions in the Asia Pacific region, Russia, and Eastern Europe. The company also has plans to create a ‘small business’ version of the platform to extend the reach of its ‘all-in-one’ philosophy to small businesses.
