Quick Heal: Transcending into Next Level Cyber Security

CIO VendorSanjay Katkar, MD & CTO
A constantly growing user base connecting to Internet through smart devices and laptops has aggravated the possibilities of threats like cyber-crime, data theft and loss, and cyber bullying. “With organizations introducing flexible policies like work from home and BYOD at workplaces, information now resides and travels beyond the devices an organization can control,” elaborates Sanjay Katkar, MD and CTO, Quick Heal. He further indicates at the organizations’ vulnerability to security breaches and imminent threats as a major problem at hand. Quick Heal, in this critical scenario, serves as a specialized security solutions provider which capably mitigates these security related risks. Quick Heal constitutes a large portfolio of security software solutions under the brand names ‘Quick Heal’ and ‘Seqrite’. The company offers solutions that are spread across multiple price points to meet diverse user requirements of its retail and enterprise customers.

The company provides high-quality feature-rich security software solutions for home users, SMBs, enterprises, educational institutions, and government customers across multi-device platform. These solutions can be conveniently deployed or accessed with minimal effort and limited technical knowledge and are also user-friendly, effective, and efficient.

Quick Heal retails its solutions directly or through its channel partners. The company’s internal sales team and channel partners collaborate to identify new sales prospects, sell solutions, and provide after-sale support. “Our distribution reach and selling capabilities of our extensive channel partner network have bolstered our business growth and provided us a competitive advantage in the market,” adds Katkar. The extensive channel partner network also makes the company brand a preferred security solution in Tier II and III cities across India.

With a proven record of successful operation for over two decades, Quick Heal has established itself as a player to reckon with in the industry

Through its consistent efforts to bring the best for its channel partners and customers, the company has earned ‘CRN Channel Champion for the retail consumers’ for the last six years. Quick Heal has also been recognized as DQ Channel’s India’s Most Popular Vendor in 2014-15.

Defining the company’s vision, Katkar states, “We are extensively focused towards cyber security and emphasize more on strategic decisions and disruption through focused innovations so that we can come out with innovative products and solutions for the same.”
Quick Heal's indigenously developed large portfolio of easy-to-use security solutions across multiple platforms and users has been backed by strong R&D capabilities that represent its core competency. It aids its vision to continuously innovate to address the security related challenges of businesses. The company's R&D team works on regular feedback from retail and enterprise users and tracks various evolving threats to define, improve, and customize solutions to meet their user's security requirements in various international markets. The organization has also launched Quick Heal Academy and Seqrite services for strengthening the cyber security ecosystem and offering managed security services.

Quick Heal holds more than 30 percent share in the retail segment, actively working to mark its presence in the enterprise market. With a proven record of successful operation for over two decades, Quick Heal has established itself as a player to reckon with in the industry. In 2016, Quick Heal became the first Indian IT Security Company to be publicly listed in BSE and NSE.

The company has a well-connected network of over 19000 channel partners in more than 80 countries worldwide. The company also has operations in Japan, which started in 2012-13 primarily focused on SMBs and enterprise customers. For other regions like MENA, the company intends to focus on the home user market and also expand its enterprise business gradually. “We envision expanding our footprint in Africa with a special focus on South Africa, the Middle East including the United Arab Emirates and South East Asia,” concludes Katkar.
