According to a recent revelation by Elon Musk, a nation’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities will determine its power. Economies and organizations globally are pursuing everything possible to utilize the benefits of AI in a bid to emerge as a superpower. In the wake of the growing awareness of AI’s potential to propel business growth, Silverpond, an Australia-based firm, utilizes the technology to accelerate their customer’s adoption of the technology. The company employs AI to engineer solutions for sectors like utilities, property, retail, healthcare, education, and research.

“AI will transform the way services and products are delivered. Organizations need to re-think how they build, test, and deliver these solutions as AI makes previous approaches obsolete,” states Jonathan Chang, Director, Silverpond.

Jonathan simplifies his explanation of the power of AI to automate perceptual tasks such as vision and hearing by drawing a parallel with the inspection of an apple orchard. An AI framework can streamline the tedious manual inspection routine in any work environment, similar to how a series of pictures can help in the estimation of the number and quality of apples in an orchard with much less human intervention. Silverpond has developed workflow tools to help clients shorten the development time of these AI models. This product, called Silverbrane, also adds and augments the client’s often small datasets to help build more reliable and scalable systems.

Silverpond guides its clients’ adoption of AI for their specific niche problems. Using Silverbrane, tailored solutions are able to be implemented far quicker than bending and squeezing the generic one-size fits all approaches on the market.

Silverpond’s work with CliniCloud, a leading healthcare firm where both CEO Andrew Lin and CTO Hon Weng Chong are Forbes Asia 30 Under 30, bears testimony to their ability to empower its clients. The AI solution provider developed hotword detection and acoustic medical diagnosis technology, which helped catapult CliniCloud to emerge as a world leader in the delivery of AI solutions for the healthcare industry.

Jonathan m entions that sophistication and customization are two important factors that differentiate his organization from its string of competitors in the AI landscape. The firm’s strength is its team, recruiting incredibly talented individuals with expertise in domains like software engineering, AI, and data science to design a holistic solution that matches the client’s requirements.

Silverpond participated in the 2017 In¬ternational Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Melbourne, exhibiting their adoption of AI’s latest developments. The company dem¬onstrated how pose estimation can be utilized to predict the movements of skeleton in real time based on images or a video and how this technological breakthrough can elevate the business capabilities of its clients in the future.

Over the last 13 years, Silverpond has established itself as the leading AI solution provider in Australia, developing a reputation for their ability to adopt innovation to the optimal benefit of their clients. “We intend to expand our activity across the Asia Pacific region to accelerate the adoption of this technology over the next couple of years. Our roadmap also includes devising cutting-edge applications for our customers and overcoming key technical challenges to drive down the cost of adoption of AI,” concludes Jonathan.
