Simplify3x: Single Solution to Simplify Automated Testing

Vijay Daniel, Founder & CEO, Simplify3xVijay Daniel, Founder & CEO
The complexities in software testing have increased as enterprise software solutions comprise of integrated systems, multiple configurations within each system, and the environment it must pass through during end-to-end business scenarios. These make it impossible to perform a regression test manually for any change to the component of the solution rendering automated testing as the only solution which can give the flexibility to test software in a given time and budget. Here, the question bothering CIOs is what is the best solution to get the automated tests developed faster, maintained easily with the changes to requirements and supports the execution of automated tests on multiple environments like Web, Mobile (Android and iOS) and Mainframe? While several attempts were made with significant investments, numerous challenges still prevail. These include higher time taken to stabilize automated test frameworks, defects in automated scripts, lack of discipline in coding rules, accumulation of redundant test cases as well as maintenance of these test cases. To address the varied challenges associated with automated software testing, Simplify3x offers an ALM platform that focuses on key attributes of test automation. “As the only tool that accommodates ALM, intelligent script-less test automation and cloud execution, the company’s SimplifyQA helps clients to achieve in-sprint automation and write test case once which reduces 40 percent of test script development,” says Vijay Daniel, founder and CEO of Simplify3x.

    Covering Testing End-to-end

SimplifyQA supports definition and management of requirement at multi-level as required in agile methodology including initiatives/program at the organization level, EPIC or features at the portfolio level and later user stories at the project team level. The key features of the tool like “write test case once” and “script less automation” enables clients to achieve in sprint automation. SimplifyQA also brings in test case versioning that eliminates the redundancy and eliminates duplicate test case creation and maintenance. The script-less automation feature enables everyone in the team to contribute for test automation without the need for programming knowledge. With built-in support for industry popular continuous integration tools like Jenkins and Bamboo, SimplifyQA helps organizations to accelerate DevOps implementation. “SimplifyQA augments testing to keep pace with Agile and DevOps. With the industry’s most innovative functional testing technologies, SimplifyQA breaks through the barriers of conventional software testing tools,” adds Vijay Daniel.

As the only tool that accommodates ALM, intelligent script-less test automation and cloud execution, the company’s SimplifyQA platform helps clients to write test case once to reduce up to 40 percent of test script development effort and achieve in-sprint automation

SimplifyQA brings a significant difference in the way software test engineering is practiced by addressing three key attributes—People, Process, and Technology. SimplifyQA enables customers to choose either cloud or on-premise engagement model based on their business requirements. By simplifying and optimizing every opportunity through its platform SimplifyQA, the company helps customers to achieve the agility, acceleration, and test automation required in the current business context. Unlike conventional software testing tools that restrict a test case from working on an old environment until it is modified, tested and released, SimplifyQA’s test case script versioning helps to select a version to run on any given environment. Automation scripts in SimplifyQA will support multi environment test execution at various stages of SDLC. As a single tool supporting Web, Mobile, API, Database, Mainframe, Windows and SAP, SimplifyQA brings in the versatility to test automation. SimplifyQA also supports seamless integration of cloud execution, enabling parallel execution and shorter turnaround time of regression cycles. Distributed and seamless execution on cloud by runtime cloud machine setup and destroying the same after test execution not only brings down the cost and time but also ensures the security. "On top of this, we have an impact analysis feature that enables clients to maintain test cases effectively by allowing to mark obsolete, update and add new test cases”, says Mr. Vijay Daniel. SimplifyQA simplifies test automation for clients by providing essential features like RTM, dashboard for project status, requirement management, test management, and defect management in one tool. “With SimplifyQA we support product engineering life cycle, test engineering, development of automated regression tests or UAT for larger enterprise customers,” he adds. In addition, Simplify3x also offers certain accelerators such as Simplify Object Picker, available as add-ons to popular browsers with key features like identify objects properties, validate the changes in object properties of any web application. Simplify3x is actively solving domain specific challenges in Healthcare and BFSI opening new avenues for the company.

In an instance, a large U.S. based healthcare insurance provider was looking for a solution from one vendor which will address technical and operational challenges in automation. These included in-sprint tests automation, higher productivity for script development, single solution for end-to-end test automation that can even pass through mainframe application which can be deployed on-premise without compromising the security of the data. The POC defined had a very short time to evaluate all the above factors. They evaluated these factors as part of the POC report creation for all stakeholders. The client zeroed in on Simplify3x for end to end test automation of one of their product using SimplifyQA tool and create the best practices for them to reuse. The initial milestones delivered on-time, opened the discussion with POC for multiple other service line and products.

    Looking Toward Mobile Cloud

With a mobile cloud under development, Simplify3x intends to be the preferred platform by all large enterprises as single testing solution to address all their challenges and be the clear choice. “With defined roadmap consisting of comprehensive and next gen features we are targeting to build a world class product that is robust enough to deliver ALM solutions across industries,” says Daniel. On the geographical front, the company is established in Bangalore, India with registered office in Malaysia and looking to expand to the U.S.
